Communication Skills in the field of Engineering is necessary because ability to communicate throughly is the most important skill needed in the professional industry or any impromptu field. I was introduced to communication skills as a subject in the second semester of engineering. Everyone in class found the subject to be obnoxious because they never got any output of the subject(hence such a title). No one wanted to or wished to comprehend the subject.

The experience of learning a subject like this is different because there is no theory , no calculations only practical application is what is possible. Along with few of my classmates I personally found the subject to be gratifying in a quaint manner. The lack of this skill can cause substantial harm to ones career and growth in the the industry.
The subject left me with a great amount of knowledge. Within those 4 months I noticed there was a difference in my comprehending, listening, speaking and reading skills. I became more patient and listened to others while they spoke. I looked up for new words online ,in dictionaries ,thesaurus whenever possible to improvise my vocabulary.

Communication Skills not as a subject but as a necessity should be studied and practiced by everyone for the betterment of themselves. One should be ambitious to make the most out of this opportunity. Not all get the chance to undergo such kind of training. In the future it should not be the case that you agonize over others for having a better life because of their efficiency in communication and for better hold on the language.

We learnt about different methods of communication like verbal, non-verbal, formal, informal and many more. We learnt about the 7C's of Communication. The methods of writing letters, emails, descriptions, etc. Organizing small scale activities in order to improvise and get rid of nervousness, anxiety, and stage fear.

It was a fun experience for me in the 4 months in learning communication skills.
